Our home is somewhat of a wreck this week, but least we have a summer to fall entry table with sunflowers to enjoy. I don’t know about you, but I feel more cheerful having flowers in the house. These sunflowers were calling to me while I was grocery shopping, and now look so perky on the entry table.
Summer To Fall Entry Table With Sunflowers
As I mentioned our house is a real mess. We are just starting the process of putting things back in order, after painting the whole house. Of course hiring professionals is the way to go with our two story entry and rooms with tall ceilings.
The kitchen and entry are the only rooms that are back to normal so far. I’m just waiting for some motivation to kick in so I can start on the rest of the house. Why is packing so much easier than it is unpacking?
Part of my problem, is deciding if I want everything to go back in its original spot. Tweaking and rearranging is going to take extra time but a little like decorating a new house. I already made a quick change over the entry table from two plates to three shallow ironstone bowls. That’s one small accomplishment I guess!
What do you think about how the white pops on the navy wall? Do I need more? One can never have too much ironstone, so I understand.
Talk about colors that pop, the bright sunflowers are doing a good job of that too. I’m loving the look of a single stem in each vase.
These vases are the bottles, that recently received a little chalked paint makeover. For a quick tutorial see my post How To Create Vases With Chalk Paint.
Sunflowers are such happy flowers and large enough to make a statement all on their own. This has to be the easiest way to arrange flowers. I’m no expert at flower arranging, but this I can do!
The galvanized tray is the same one from the post Updating The Entry Table With Flowers. To get the look, here’s a tray similar to mine. Of course the blue glass table lamp that I have now, looks much more up to date on the entry table. Did you spot the difference?
This time of year we’re normally craving fall, but I’m trying not to rush summer too much. I’m still dabbling with watercolors whenever I can. Right now I’m really into sunflowers.

Thanks for letting me share this quick post. Now I have to get busy organizing and decorating the rest of the house.
Cheers!

I love sunflowers! They are the perfect summer to fall transition and they make such a big impact with their huge sunny faces! Love your 1-stem-to-a-vase arrangement too!

Thank you Janet! We will be enjoying these for a while, since sunflowers seem to last so much longer than other flowers.

Those vases are so cute. I was looking for something this week to put some flowers in and I remembered I had some old bottles and vases. I will be trying this. Love how you styled them.

Thanks Pamela, the little bottle to vase project was so easy, I can’t believe I didn’t try it sooner.
