I’m having fun playing around with spring ottoman or coffee table vignettes, and sharing three that I like the best. These are simple groupings with some of my everyday accessories and a few springtime additions for a fresh new look. I’m curious to know which one is your favorite.
Three Spring Ottoman Or Coffee Table Vignettes
Have you ever been stuck at home waiting on a service tech? Well, I was the other day, and that’s how this post came about. I didn’t really want to get into any projects, not knowing when the tech would show up in our 12 hour window.
Just kidding, it was only a four hour window, but it seemed longer. So I started playing around with the tray on the ottoman, and before I knew it I came up with some really interesting vignettes. See, not weird, just using my time creatively LOL!
All three spring vignettes are arranged on a large wooden tray for a nice solid surface on the ottoman. I find that the wood tray not only helps to anchor the arrangement, but it also creates a pretty contrast in color.
For coffee table decor I might omit the tray, creating an arrangement on the table top. Then I would add a stack of my favorite decorating books for balance.
Spring Vignette #1
A very handsome hare makes an appearance in all three vignettes. I was going to tie a ribbon around her neck then decided to string some wood beads on a piece of raffia instead. A simple bow in the back gives it a very sophisticated look, don’t you think?
On the first tray grouping I’m also including a bird nest fern nestling in a belly basket. Under a glass cloche is a worn terra cotta pot holding soft blue wooden eggs. To finish the vignette, a little stack of terra cotta pots looks a bit like egg topiaries.
The belly basket is featuring a fresh new look with white chalk paint on the lower half. I like the contrast between the white and natural color and it still adds some great texture.
Spring Vignette #2
Spring tray vignette number two is the most simple out of the three. This time the tall hare takes center stage, since I’m adding a hurricane candle holder in the back. The bird nest fern now has a rustic garden look in the worn terra cotta pot and saucer.
Even though this vignette has three big pieces, it doesn’t seem over crowded or heavy. I think that’s because of the airiness the glass hurricane and the fern provides.
Spring Vignette #3
In spring vignette number three I’m keeping the hurricane candle holder, the hare of course and bringing back the cloche.
Since I’m not using a plant in this one, I’m opting for a faux bird nest for a touch of nature. I’m borrowing it from the tiered tray on the kitchen table. To see another view, click on Simple Easter Centerpiece With A Tiered Tray.
An Audubon bird post card sits behind the nest for an interesting background. I thought it would also be fun to add a pair of old binoculars and their leather holder for the avid bird watcher.
For a bit texture, I’m bring in some old books, and since they’re missing their covers, it gives this vignette a vintage feel.

So hard to pick a favorite, Michelle, they’re all totally fabulous. I love that you spent your time waiting doing something creative. I think sometimes we think we have to devote a day or an afternoon to decorating our homes. But you were able to give your coffee table and ottoman a beautiful update in just a few hours which is so inspiring! Loving and pinning as always, CoCo

Thank you CoCo for the sweet comments! Without distracting myself I would have been looking out the window every 15 seconds! The good news is that the service tech is recommending a fridge replacement at no charge. Yay! 😊
