This year my approach to styling a simple fall entry table, starts by using larger vintage items. Sometimes it only take a few key pieces, highlighted with pretty fall colors to create a beautiful welcoming entry.
I love decorating and collecting vintage pieces such as the vintage ironstone plates and my old faithful ironstone pitcher. They have a love worn patina, and help to keep the entry table bright and casual.
Styling A Simple Fall Entry Table With Flowers
I’ve managed to buy a few vintage things on-line this year, but finding vases seems impossible. When it comes to home decor, I really have to love it, to buy it.
So if you’re wondering, why I’m always using this pitcher for flower arrangements, well there are two reasons. First, it just happens to be the perfect size for the types of arrangements I like to create. Second, it brings back sentimental memories from childhood that make me smile.
Speaking of flowers, our neighborhood grocery store is really stepping up their floral department, and I couldn’t be happier. Just look at these dark green hydrangeas with the multi-colored filler and greenery. There’s even a little bit of pink heather in the mix, which I love!
Styling A Wood Dough Bowl For Fall
On the other side of the entry table is a vintage wood dough bowl full of fun fall textures. The dough bowl is one of my better finds at a local antique mall, which I really miss by the way. I’m sure they miss me too, since I haven’t been in what seems like FOREVER!
Filling the bowl, I have pinecones, moss covered balls, oak leaves, brown eucalyptus and a little something extra.
Mini aged terracotta pots are so fun to add to vignettes, and they also create interest with texture and color. For more photos see my post on DIY Aging Terracotta Pots.
One more vintage item on our simple fall entry table is almost hidden behind the flowers. It’s my mom’s antique tea box, which I consider to be one of my favorite treasures. To see how it looks displaying mini Indian corn, see my post Fall Entryway With Navy And Yellow.

Thank you so much for stopping by. There are still so many things I still want to work on this fall, and I hope I can fit them all in. Anyone else feel that way too, if so I hope you are enjoying fall as it’s flying by.
Cheers!
