Easy Plan Ahead Christmas Decorating
Right now is a good time to spend a minute or two thinking about how you are going to decorate for Christmas this year. That way you can order exactly what you want, before the holiday rush starts. You may have some old decorations that really need replacing. Then again, you may be dreaming of a whole new look, so this is a great time to plan ahead.
Don’t you just love the idea of not having to add a string of lights to your wreath, garland or mini trees? I sure do, and I also love the option of using batteries or using plug in decorations. That alone gives us so many choices as to where we’re going to display beautiful pre-lit holiday greenery. By the way, I’m including photos of the LED lights on and off, to help you see the details of the pieces.
What Comes In The Box
Here’s the breakdown of what the Yorkshire Fir Collection 4 Piece Set from King of Christmas includes.
- In the box are 2 Yorkshire Fir trees measuring 3 feet tall, pre-strung with warm white LED lights. That makes them ideal for displaying on a table top or hearth. The trees are set in an urn shaped container ready for display.
- Dimensions for the pre-strung wreath with warm white LED lights measures 24 x 24 inches, with a place to hide the battery pack on the back of the wreath.
- The pre-strung garland with warm white LED lights measures 9 feet long.
When you receive the Yorkshire Fir 4 piece set and remove them from the box, you will want to fluff and separate the branches. This only takes a few minutes for each piece, then you will be ready to decorate. The enclosed instructions from King of Christmas explains how to switch the light cord from an outlet plug to a battery pack. There’s also a 6 hour timer feature for each piece for carefree decorating.
How To Decorate A Buffet, Sideboard, Mantel Or Entry Table
I’m using all 4 pieces of the collection for a dazzling mass display on our dining room buffet table. The garland is so easy to drape across the back of the buffet letting the ends cascade off each side. For a rustic look I’m nestling twigs and pinecones in between the branches saving the larger pinecones for the center. Around the big pinecones I’m inserting a variety of pheasant feathers which adds a charming touch to this rustic theme.
For a classic symmetrical arrangement, I’m placing a tree on each end of the buffet table. This creates balance, and frames the large round wall mirror. Plaid ribbon bows add a decorative touch to the base of the urns, and at the top of each tree. A row of pinecones line the top of each urn under the branches for additional rustic texture.
The wreath takes center stage on the round mirror. I’m continuing the rustic theme by adding pinecones, and brown berry picks between the branches of the wreath. Last step before displaying the wreath is adding a plaid ribbon bow, which completes the festive holiday look.
Of course, you can use the 4 piece set any way you wish if you have more than one area to accent with holiday greenery. If you need inspiration for Christmas decorating themes and color themes, this list may help to spark your imagination.

- gingerbread
