Looking for quick dessert ideas? Then you will want to try this Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet Recipe. Simply put, it’s deliciousness in a bowl.
Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet Recipe
- 3 cups strawberries cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup lemonade (I use Simply Lemonade with Strawberry)
- 1 oz. Grand Marnier (optional)
- Cut strawberries into small pieces. Layer strawberries on a parchment lined baking sheet and place in the freezer for about a hour or until firm.
- Place strawberry pieces in a blender or food processor, add sugar, lemonade and Grand Marnier. Process until smooth and creamy.
- Pour strawberry lemonade mixture into a 1 pound loaf pan and freeze.
- Should be firm enough in about three to four hours to serve.
- When ready to serve, remove from freezer and let stand for a few minutes to soften. An ice cream scoop makes serving a breeze.
Recipe Notes
I added one ounce of Grand Mariner for just a hint of orange. This is optional of course but it does add an extra layer of flavor to the delicious taste.
Little glass footed bowls are perfect for serving ice cream and sorbet but don’t let the small size fool you. I’m not shy when it comes to desserts and can easily squeeze two to three scoops in a bowl.
Last year I had a great response on my peach sorbet recipe post. Be sure to check it out too!
For a fun alternative to mimosas, add a scoop of sorbet in a wine glass and top with Prosecco or Champagne. It’s truly delicious and makes a fabulous summer treat.
