Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots Recipe. I’m sharing this sweet and spicy bacon wrapped tater tots recipe, because this one was calling my name yesterday. It is so hard to resist crispy bacon sweetened with brown sugar wrapped around a tater tot with just a hint of spicy heat.

For The Love Of Bacon
I don’t think I have ever met a bacon appetizer, side dish or sandwich I didn’t like. Are you like that too? Well if you’re a bacon fan like me, you will love this super easy recipe. With only three main ingredients you can assemble a batch of bacon wrapped tater tots in no time.
I’m sure you have enjoyed some version of this recipe, but if you haven’t, add it to the top of your list to make this fall. Of course these are excellent any time of year as a delicious snack from brunch to dinner.
These bacon wrapped tater tots hit on so many flavor points, because they are crispy, sweet, savory and just a wee bit spicy. Fair warning they disappear fast, so be prepared to make a second batch. I should also add these are gluten free and dairy free for those with dietary concerns.

- Cut bacon slices into thirds with a sharp knife.
- Wrap each tater tot with a short piece of bacon and secure the bacon with a toothpick. Coat wrapped tater tots with brown sugar and place on the cooking rack.

Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots Recipe Notes:
The cayenne pepper is completely optional for this recipe. If you are serving these bacon wrapped tater tots to a mixed crowd, you can always offer a spicy dip on the side.
In my opinion you really don’t need a dip to enhance these little flavor bombs, but hey sometimes we like to change things up. Here is a list of dip options.
- hot honey and mustard
- sriracha mayo
- barbecue
- good ol’ ketchup
I like to spice up my barbecue sauce with a little hot sauce or take it in a smoky direction adding chipotle.
