March Celebrate The Holiday
I’m so happy to be joining my blogging friends for the March Celebrate The Holiday Hop. A big thank you goes to our host Carol of Bluesky at Home for organizing our fun get togethers.
This month we have nine bloggers, sharing their favorite projects and decorating ideas for spring and Easter. You will find all the links for everyone participating at the end of my post.
If you’re popping in after visiting WM Design House, welcome to Thistle Key Lane. I’m so happy to have you here. I think Wendy’s bunny napkin rings will make a very cute addition to our Easter table!
Spring Tablescape In Green And White
Anyone else hungry for a bit more color and patterns in your decor. If so, table linens are an easy way to spruce up your dining room or kitchen table.
The last few years I’ve been using tablecloths a little more often, and because of that, I seem to be noticing them everywhere. Tablecloths can set the mood for any occasion from festive to romantic. Today we are concentrating on a festive table that looks fresh and cheerful.
This block print tablecloth has white florals that really pop on a green background, and has a pretty contrasting boarder of blue and green ochre. Sounds perfect for spring, right?!
The cloth napkins are also a block print. The green shade may be a little different, but I think it all blends together. I don’t worry if it doesn’t match perfectly. This way, the table has a casual cottage feel, instead of being so matchy matchy.
Sping Flowers
It’s true that I look for any excuse to treat myself to flowers, and I love creating simple arrangements. That’s why my favorite tablescapes are usually ones with fresh flowers.
This arrangement is full of spring colors with a variety of pink, purple, yellow and white ranunculus. I like being able to see over a centerpiece, but I thought this one needed some height, so I added a couple of green books.
To me, a colorful centerpiece like this will work for any springtime celebration including St. Patrick’s Day and Easter.
I love adding something unexpected to my tablescapes, and bought these cute shamrocks to put at each place setting. Don’t you just love their sweet blooms?
Casual place setting
We’re keeping this table casual, so I’m using round grass placemats instead of chargers. I love how these placemats look with the tablecloth. Plus the color and texture of the placemats make my everyday white dishes look like something special.
Simple wine glasses, stainless flatware and few votive candles finish the table.
