Today I’m sharing how to style an entry table tray the easy way. Every time I have fresh flowers in the house I feel like celebrating. Flowers make me so happy and I love the greeting I receive by those pretty petals when I walk through the door.
How To Style an Entry Table Tray
Of course hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers, so I buy them as often as I can. The more delicate looking flowers are Lisianthus, and together they make a lovely contrast in the arrangement.
I use hydrangea stems as the base of flower arrangements often, because their large blooms are perfect for taking up lots of space. In total I used five hydrangea stems and two bunches of Lisianthus. See how their little buds are waving and peeking over the top? That’s what I call happy flowers.
An easy way to style an entry table tray is by creating a vignette. First off, I like using something oversized. The large white urn with flowers become the focal point on the rattan tray.
With the focal point in place I reach for books to create a platform for a trinket or collectable of some sort. The cute wooden shoe form once belonged to my dad. One of his favorite hobbies was antiquing or junkin. No doubt my love of vintage things comes from him.
Design Tip: One of the most important ways of making a house feel like a home, is displaying little things collected over time that have meaning or stories behind them.
The finishing touch to the vignette are two mini moss topiaries that I made for a brunch tablescape. To see how they looked on the French country dining table, click on the post Brunch Tablescape Ideas.
The small planters add fun patterns, and I love how their blue and white designs look on the light colored rattan tray.
Did you notice I kept to the formula of decorating in threes? The urn and mini topiaries make a grouping of three, as well as the three things in the stack. Amazing how that bit of decorating strategy works every time, and how much it pleases the eye.

Refreshing The Entry Way
After styling the entry table tray, I freshen up the entry way and the baskets under the entry table. The peace lily seems much happier in here and adds the additional greenery I love so much.
The braided baskets now hold the striped pillows I picked up when passing through Waco earlier this year. Who can resist stopping at Magnolia Market for something fresh and new? I feel smarter just shopping there. 😉
If I could I would probably have fresh flowers in the house all the time. How about you? How often do you buy flowers for your home? For more ideas see the post Updating The Entry Table With Flowers.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!
Cheers!

I don’t buy fresh flowers nearly often enough. I need to visit my local TJ’s more often, as they have the freshest and most affordable florals! Lovely post, Michelle!

Thank you my friend! With all my traveling this year, I don’t buy flowers as often as I use to. That’s why it feels like I’m celebrating when I do LOL!

Your entryway is so cute! Great tips, and I think that vintage map on the wall might be my favorite part!

Thanks Tiffany! It’s so funny you mentioned the map because I swear I look at it every time I pass through the entryway. I should be really good at geography now. 😀
