Thank you for stopping by today to see my spring home tour with vintage inspired collectables. Come see what I pulled together to celebrate the season. My spring decorating began over a month ago even though we still had chilly evenings with the fireplace going. In case you missed it, visit the post Ideas For Decorating With Green.
Spring Home Tour With vintage inspired Collections
I have a few vintage inspired collections such as these little Limoges boxes, that I love using during the spring and early summer months. There are a few egg shapes and a variety of other figures that add color to the tray sitting on round ottoman.
Remember, collections always have more impact when grouped together.
Most of the furniture in the living area is covered in neutral fabrics with lots of texture. It’s an easy space to accessorize, because almost any color works with the watercolor print and vintage Persian rug.
Talk about color, the throw in dark horseradish and the stripped pillow do wonders to highlight my favorite cream wing back chair. AND for an extra layer of texture, check out the basket weave throw on the sofa.
Every once in a while I like to share our Wheaten terrier Sandy. She’s the best part of the decor in our house!
Vintage Inspired Audubon Post Cards
In the entry way, I updated my coat rack aka cup rack with spring inspiration. This is a spot where we hang jackets, tote bags and the dog leash, in an attempt to keep the entry way clear. The antique French chair is one of my favorite pieces of furniture in our home.
Using some little clothes pins I secured a collection of Audubon bird post cards around a boxwood wreath. I’ve always loved birds and picked up a book of post cards while visiting the Audubon House in Key West a few years ago.
Boxwood wreaths can go just about anywhere. To me they’re the perfect shade of green for any season and I even use them in fall decor.
Entry Table With Flowers
Across from the coat rack is a vintage inspired vignette of flowers in a variety of bottles on a galvanized tray. I love this easy way of displaying flowers and can’t wait to see how it looks with different blooms and colors in the coming weeks.\

Spring Tablescape
Last week I shared a spring tablescape with bunnies and eggs. The centerpiece has a few collectables I’ve had since childhood such as the porcelain bunny, a Peter Rabbit book and a wicker ducking arranged under a cloche.

I hope you found lots of spring decorating inspiration today. Thanks for stopping by.

Is the picture above your sofa of polo players in Big Horn, Wyoming?
Michelle Meyer says
Hi Mary, the watercolor print above the sofa was by Peter Hurd who lived and worked in San Patricio, New Mexico. I have another one of his watercolor prints above our fireplace. Thank you for asking.
