Today I’m sharing some helpful ideas for organizing a coffee station and a free printable for the kitchen. Due to schedule changes and being home more, wanting to update how we use our kitchen is normal. It’s all about balance and making life easier for everyday living.
Organizing A Coffee Station And A Free Printable
Now that my coffee station is turning into our coffee station, I want it to continue looking clean and pretty. Creating a pretty coffee station is one thing, but the need for better organization is becoming more important.
To see the original look click on Modern Coffee Station With Vintage Style.
After cleaning out shelves over the coffee maker, I now have extra storage space. I mean, do we really need 30 mugs? Not really.
The coffee pod storage is in stackable trays. Pods are a lot easier to get to than reaching into the large jar I had before.
For tea bag storage I’m using plastic boxes with dividers and lids. These are great for organizing teas, and save room because they are stackable.
With all the extra space, I can store Tervis tumblers here to use this summer for iced coffee lattes. Oh and by the way, I’m still in love with my coffee machine, and not just because it is so reasonably priced. It really makes great coffee.
Styling the Coffee Station
As far as decorating the coffee station, I’m still displaying my mini collection of creamers in a jar on top of a cake stand. Spoons go into a bigger creamer and I added a shaker for cinnamon. In the fall I’ll be filling it with my pumpkin pie spice mix. For details, click on Pumpkin Pie Spice Recipe, you might want to pin this for later.
I’m keeping everything corralled on the porcelain tray for easy clean up, including jars of sugar and sugar substitute.
Just for fun I’m displaying flowers from our front yard in the porcelain box creamer.
Free Printable
After months of trying to decide on what kind of artwork to make for the counter area, the inspiration finally hit me. I got the idea to paint a watercolor of a café au lait bowl from a book series I’m rereading for the third time. Every time a character orders a bowl of café au lait in their little village bistro, my mouth starts watering.
The café au lait bowl watercolor has soft feminine colors, tiny flowers and an overall faded vintage chippy look. You can bet if I’m offered a bowl of café au lait, my response of course will be “oui”.
Please remember this free printable is for your personal use only.
Be sure to follow Thistle Key Lane on Pinterest, where the boards are up to date with seasonal inspiration you’re going to love!
I really hope you will enjoy the café au lait printable, and if you have any organizing tricks to share, drop them in comments.
Cheers!
