How To Make A Fall Bandana Wreath

When I think of bandanas, I think of cowboys and farmers.  When I think of farmers, I think of harvest time and fall. If you are following my thought process, then you will want to follow along to see how to make a fall bandana wreath.  This is one of the easiest wreaths to make with only a few supplies needed.

Supplies

  • 4 bandanas
  • 12″ styrofoam wreath
  • scissors
  • ribbon (optional)

Four bandanas are enough to cover a 12 inch foam circle. Cut each bandana into 8 strips of fabric. Then take one strip of fabric at a time, loop over the foam circle and tie alternating the colors.

Easy right! The color combinations are up to you so have fun with it. I picked navy, gray, light blue and orange. That little bit of orange makes a happy pop of color.

When I showed the finished wreath to the husband, he said it was cute but didn’t look like fall. According to him, fall colors are earth tones meaning basically brown. (I’ve been known to be wrong once or twice.) After stomping upstairs, I added yellow and white ribbons thinking yellow is definitely a fall color. Now I have a super happy fall bandana wreath which I’m going to give to my daughter who lives in sunny Florida. 🙂

So excited to find beautiful grey pumpkins and yellow mums to add to the front porch. If the wreath doesn’t say welcome fall, the pumpkins and mums will do the job.

In case you are wondering, I have brown bandanas on order from Amazon. One point for the husband but who’s keeping score.
