Spring Tablescape With Bunnies And Eggs

Today I’m sharing a spring tablescape with bunnies and eggs, just in time to join the “Hop Into Easter” blog hop. I’m so excited to be joining Amber from Follow The Yellow Brick Home and a lovely group of bloggers.

These talented women know how to celebrate the seasons in style and are always inspiring me to try something new. If you are joining me from The Tattered Pew, then welcome! I love Kelly’s fresh style.

Spring Tablescape With A Cloche Vignette

For this casual eating spot I usually keep the decorating light and airy. Framing a spring vignette under a glass cloche creates a vintage centerpiece for the table.

I love displaying small collections or a delicate still life under the protection of a cloche or bell jar. They have an old world charm that’s simply magical, and I hope they will never go out of style.

Someday I’ll find the right wooden base for the cloche, but for now I’m using a tray with the addition of a deer moss wreath. I love the soft texture and color that the deer moss adds to the to the spring tablescape.

Building a vignette starts with a vintage book as a base, then a potted ivy, a porcelain bunny I’ve had since childhood and a Peter Rabbit book wedged in the middle.

Around the back of the spring vignette are two tiny baskets. The vintage wicker duckling is just big enough to hold a nest of Spanish moss and an Easter egg.

To complete the arrangement, I used a few grapevine twigs to frame the spring vignette, giving it a garden look.

Bunnies And Eggs

For the place settings, I’m sharing two looks with white dishes and napkins. That way you can see which simple arrangement you like best.

Our local grocery store is carrying the most gorgeous naturally colored fresh eggs that are perfect for a spring table. This sounds silly I know, but after hard-boiling them, they were just too pretty to decorate.

By the way these beauties are destined for another batch of deviled eggs. Yum! To see my recent post click on Classic Deviled Egg Recipe With Toppings.

On a small cake stand is an arrangement of candies in a vintage inspired paper egg with a pair of chocolate mossy bunnies. I love how these turned out. To get a soft green texture on the base of the chocolate bunnies, I mixed ground pistachios and matcha powder. Maybe not the tastiest combination, but the color works.
