Welcome Fall Entryway With Navy And Yellow

My fall entryway with navy and yellow is ready to say welcome home. Navy just happens to be one of my favorite colors and when I add a pop of yellow the whole room lights up. Today I’m joining over 20 bloggers for an Embracing Fall Home Tours Blog Hop, hosted by my friend Amber from Follow The Yellow Brick Home.

It’s so much fun being part of a blog hop to see how everyone interprets the season. All the links are provided at the end of the post. If you’re stoping by from The Tattered Pew, I’m thrilled to have you. Kelly always amazes me with her fresh decorating ideas.

Nothing says welcome home like a pretty wreath or basket, decorating the front door.

The willow basket has a new look filled with dried twigs and branches. It’s one of the easiest ways to decorate a front door that I can imagine, unless you’re buying something ready-made. To view more ideas click on Willow Basket Door Arrangement for Early Fall.

The navy accent wall wraps around to the kitchen providing a rich backdrop for every season. It was a bold decision going with dark walls, but I still love it with no regrets.

If you follow my seasonal posts, then you know how much I love garlands. Hanging from the vintage wall map is a multi colored paper leaf garland held with mini clothes pins. This a super easy DIY garland that only takes a few minutes to make.

Yellow pumpkins are the theme this year. I can’t decide if I like the striped tiger pumpkins or the solid colors best. Either way, they make a pretty vignette grouped together on the entry table.

A group of sunflowers on the other side are just about at their end. I may try to dry these like the ones featured in Simple Fall Home Decor Ideas.

The antique tea box in the center holds dried ears of Indian Corn. This is the first time I have ever displayed anything inside the box. It’s one of those antiques to be admired, but not handled very often, due to its fragile hinges.

I’m really excited about the blue glass table lamp that I found at end of summer. It really gives the table the updated look it needed. Did I mention the glass is blue? Love it!

Can’t have fall decor without a touch of plaid. Storage baskets under the table hold a couple of plaid pillows for a boost of color and pattern.

More ways to add Navy And Yellow

On the other side of the entry I have more navy and yellow accents for fall.  A waffle weave textured throw creates a soft backdrop for mums, that will be blooming any day now. In a week or so, I’ll plant them outside by the front door for a beautiful pop of color.

I found the French inspired metal box last year before Christmas. The trim was originally red, but I painted over it in white so I could use any time of year.

The cup rack is a handy spot for coats and bags, but I also like adding seasonal touches. Right now, I’m keeping it simple with Audubon bird postcards in fall-ish colors and a preserved boxwood wreath.

Do you like to decorate the inside of your front door? I have a permanent metal hook on each side of the door for hanging wreaths or baskets.
