Simple Eucalyptus Wreath

Initial wreath with green eucalyptus.

One thing I love about eucalyptus, is that it’s the kind of greenery that looks beautiful year around. That’s exactly what makes this simple eucalyptus wreath perfect for this time the year. I fashioned it after the hoop wreaths, that are so popular right now.

To make the wreath, I updated a letter cutout that I already had with a coat of paint. I used one of the Rescue Restore Paints from A Makers’ Studio called “gathered”. It has just a hint of blue and looks fabulous with the green eucalyptus.

The eucalyptus stems were a lucky find and come three to a box. I included a link below in the list of supplies.

If you are new to the blog you may have missed my announcement that I’m a maker for A Makers’ Studio. It’s been a wonderful opportunity for me to create fun projects while featuring the products I use.

One of the biggest projects I completed using A Makers’ Studio products, was the DIY Kitchen Table Makeover. The results were amazing.

After painting the letter cutout, I attached two eucalyptus stems with zip ties. I thought I could squeeze in a third but it looked too crowded. Using two stems is full enough to hide the zip ties when pushed close together. I could have added a bow but opted to just leave it plain.

I have a fondness for zip ties because they are quick and easy to use.  When I’m ready to update the wreath again, the zip ties can be remove. If you don’t have zip ties, the eucalyptus stems can also be secured with wire.

Whenever possible I reuse or repurpose what I have. It’s one of the challenges I love about crafting and decorating.
