There is no doubt I love vintage but sometimes I need to balance it with a classic accessory or two.
A few years ago I found this table at an antique mall. It is not a true antique but I liked it because it looked like bamboo so I painted it an antique green with a crackle finish. Since that time the color scheme in our house has evolved and this has been hiding in a corner.
I painted right over the old finish with Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Typewriter, adding in the MMS’s Bonding Agent per the directions. After two coats of paint I used steel wool instead of sand paper in order to get a dull polished finish.
Once I have a plan, it is full throttle. There was very little surface to paint and I feel like I zoomed through the project. Instant gratification!
So happy you stopped by!
