Figuring out how to decorate for fall is something anyone can do, even if you live in a small apartment. Just try one or two of these ideas, to get the pumpkin rolling. You can do this, all it takes is a touch here or there.
Using the same white pumpkin with yellow stripes, I snapped three mini photo fall vignettes to give you a sense of how to start. One wee pumpkin on your counter will positively make you smile.
I like the idea of using clipboards to display seasonal art or quotes. Lean them on the counter or group them on the wall. Great for kids art too.
On the coffee table next to the stacked pumpkins is a vase filler of elk antlers. They actually belong to the dogs. Kind of different, but a great conversation starter.
For a simple and modern display, simply line up white pumpkins on the mantel. If you don’t have a mantel try arranging pumpkins on a shelf or window sill. Last year I displayed orange pumpkins the same way. The monochromatic look is trending now.
Taking center stage on the dining table is a large green pumpkin with acorns from my neighbors tree. For a touch of whimsy, I added some jute string to mimic a vine. The table is set with wood chargers, white plates, navy plaid napkins and my grandmothers mismatched silver. No matter what the occasion, I love setting the table for company. The more relaxed and casual, the better the conversation.
This year, I bought one orange pumpkin because it had the most amazing stem. I love orange, although I’m leaning more and more to green, grey and white pumpkins because they can be used through the Christmas season. Imagine how gorgeous the green pumpkin will be with juniper branches and baby pinecones!
This pumpkin has character and a bit of attitude. It doesn’t need any embellishments to be admired.
