Grapefruit Mimosa Recipe

Pretty mimosas with herb garnish.

Celebrating and mimosas just seem to go together, and there’s always something to celebrate. Let’s open a bottle of bubbly and get started. Originally mimosas were made with orange juice, but today I’m featuring a grapefruit mimosa recipe that is almost too pretty to drink.

Mimosas are fresh, full of flavor and oh so simple to make.

Mix equal parts of sparkling wine and juice. That’s it! Mimosas are so elegant when served in traditional champagne flutes or tall slender glasses. If you don’t have either one, go ahead and substitute wine glasses. No one will mind.

Fun Ways To Serve A Mimosa

Here’s how to give guests the impression you went to a lot of trouble. When serving grapefruit mimosas, add fresh herbs or fruit.

Three of my favorite herbs in mixed drinks are rosemary, mint and thyme. Pick one or have a variety on hand and let you guests choose.

Another great option is fresh fruit. Orange slices and strawberries are great traditional choices.

For a festive touch, I used polka dot paper party straws to skewer thick wedges of grapefruit. Strawberries would be so cute like this too!

Can you think of something to celebrate? How about brunch with the family, lunch with a friend or a late afternoon refresher after a rewarding day. Like I said, there’s always something to celebrate. Have a wonderful weekend!

Cheers!
