Haven Conference 2018

Haven conference in Charleston

When I started my blog a few years ago as a hobby, I never imagined that sharing the things that I love to create, would allow me to connect with the most amazing women. The Haven Conference was created to bring bloggers together, so they could network, gain knowledge and create lasting friendships while following their passions. No kidding, I get goosebumps every time I think about how incredible the blogging community has become, and how lucky I am to be part of it.

Of course we wouldn’t be able to have a conference without sponsors. Home Depot was once again our biggest sponsor, encouraging and giving advise to help bloggers launch their DIY projects. I can’t imagine a Haven Conference without them or the volunteers who spent hundreds of hours pulling it together.

Speaking of sponsors my swag bag was so full of goodies, I had to check my luggage for the flight home. No surprise there because the sponsors are always so generous. By time the conference was over, I think I had half the display of Gorilla Glue in my bag!

Now for some exciting news! I have joined A Makers’ Studio. That means I will have the opportunity to teach, demonstrate and inspire others, on how to create beautiful projects with Amy Howard products on my blog.

I’ll have a post up soon with more information, but let me say I’m extremely enthusiastic about this new opportunity.

Informative Sessions

My head is still spinning from the mountain of information presented in our sessions. No doubt SEO will be an ongoing focus. In addition to SEO I also had a chance to learn about working with brands, taking my blog full time, organizing tips, photography and new ways to improve my Pinterest boards.

The goal is to optimize a smooth running blog, while inspiring you to try new projects, solve decorating challenges and sample some delicious recipes.

What to do in Charleston

The conference was in Charleston, South Carolina and what a treat it was to visit there again. Charleston is a city full of character, with its gracious homes, ancient trees, historic buildings, lush gardens and interesting people. I just can’t get enough!

Have you visited Charleston? When you do, make sure you stroll down King Street. It’s packed with restaurants, pubs and shops. The window shopping was fun, unfortunately that’s all I had time for. Take a look at these artistic store displays.

Can you imagine the stories these old building could tell? Some are better preserved than others but I love them all. So romantic!

I could talk about Charleston and the Haven Conference all day but I have to finish a new project. Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me share my trip with you!

Cheers!
