Easy Framing Ideas

Floating glass frames with a hanging chain are my latest crush. I can change art work seasonally with all the cute printables I enjoy downloading or create a lasting keepsake.

Recently when I was browsing through a high-end decor shop, I almost bought a gorgeous pressed flower collage in a frame just like these. Then I looked at the tag and discovered it was way out of my price range. Guess I’ll be adding pressed flowers to my list of future DIY projects.

Floating Glass Frames

Floating glass in wood frames are another favorite of mine and just as easy to work with. The wall color showing through creates a mat for the subject being framed making this another inexpensive solution.

Do you have memorabilia tucked away in boxes or drawers that would be interesting to display? Here are some suggestions to get you started.

Oversized Mats

For art with a big impact, I go for the large gallery frame with an oversized mat. It’s a fun way to give emphasis to a small photo or little piece of artwork. Think of creating a focal point with a large frame or anchor a gallery wall so everything is not the same size.

These frames have easy to remove backs, so updating new prints or photos is simple. Plus the mat comes with the frame which is a money saver.

Clip Boards

One of the easiest solutions for displaying temporary art is on a clip board. If you’ve been following me for a while you may have noticed I love using them.

This is a spot where I enjoy rotating artwork that I’m interested in painting at the time. I also like creating vignettes on the kitchen counter using a clipboard with fruit, flowers or cutting boards.

Shadow Boxes

Shadow boxes are for creating three-dimensional art, such as the seashell collection from an awesome Florida vacation. It’s a great reminder to enjoy the little things in life and the options are endless.

Are you thinking about all the things you can frame now? Art comes in many forms and should speak from the heart. If something has meaning to you, then find a way to display and enjoy it.

Cheers!
