A spring DIY wreath with garden gloves and flowers is our latest Pinterest Challenge project. And what a fun project it is at that. DIY Wreath With Garden Gloves and Flowers
Instead of a garden hose, I’m using a wood initial wreath that I already had, updating it to have the same feel as our inspiration photo. Part of my personal challenge is trying to use items that I already have on hand as much as possible. If you are looking for a similar wreath click here.
A quick coat of shiny bright green paint makes this wreath really pop on our dark front door.
To assemble the wreath, use a zip tie to bundle the flowers together. Then zip tie a pair of garden gloves around the flowers letting the fingers stick our like leaves.
A long piece of yellow and white grosgrain ribbon holds the flowers and gloves in place on the side of the wreath. I love using zip ties instead of hot glue, so I can easily repurpose the wreath again.
In my opinion those cute green and white garden gloves are the best part of the wreath. Of course the striped ones in the photo of Jill’s wreath are even better.
Now for my secret of hanging the wreath on the door so that it stays straight. The wreath tends to be heavy on one side with the weight of the gloves and flowers. Using a Command picture hanging strip at the bottom of the wreath holds it in place without it being visible.
