Backyard Tour

Mexican Petunias

Hello again! I took a week off for travel and happy to see our yard looks so pretty upon my return.  You could say we had an unusual spring, considering the sun took a month-long vacation, we had cooler than normal temperatures and we survived the 100 year flood, again.  Happily our backyard plants are catching up to how they should look by the end of June.

Texas Lilac

My absolute favorite plant this year is the Texas lilac. Thick blooms are covering the new growth, in fact it has grown so much we can see it above the fence from the back yard.

Great shade on the patio in the late afternoon

Dinning alfresco

I love our patio with just enough shade in the summer to enjoy a cool dinning spot. Of course the hibiscus have several blooms ready to open but not in time for their photo debut.

Mexican Petunias behind the pool

We planted Mexican Petunias to attract hummingbirds. Amazing how it blooms everyday and grows like a weed.

Storage for pool supplies

Our newest feature of the back yard is the storage bin.  A Father’s Day gift for my husband. He loved it!

Fire up the grill honey, it’s time for dinner!  Cheers!
