Always proud to display the red, white and blue! For the up-coming patriotic holidays I have painted stars and stripes on a letter M for the front door. I also found a square frame which has chicken wire in the back. I like the combination of the frame with the letter in the center.
I used a wooden star for a pattern and then a ruler to mark off the stripes. I painted it with craft paint and gave it a light sanding when it was completely dry.
The frame was painted with a white wash to allow the natural grain to show through. Attaching the ribbon was easy because the frame already had hangers on the back at the top.
