Cuisine French
- 1 French baguette
- 2/3 cup fig preserves
- 4 slices of crispy bacon pieces
- 1 cup goat cheese crumbles
- 1/2 cup pecan pieces
- olive oil
- honey
- aged balsamic vinegar
Slice baguette in 1/2" to 1/3" rounds, toast on one side under the broiler. Turn slices over and brush with olive oil. Return to the oven to broil baguette slices until lightly golden brown.
Spread a small portion of fig preserves on each crostini, then add your crispy bacon bits, goat cheese crumbles and pecan pieces.
Arrange crostini on a serving tray or dish as you assemble. Drizzle a thin stream of honey over the toppings, then do the same with the aged balsamic vinegar.
Ready to serve and enjoy!
The recipe topping measurements above are approximate. You may want a little more or less of any of the toppings. You know what I always say...make it like you like it.
A small silicone brush makes applying the olive oil to the baguette slices before broiling quick and easy.
