Prepare store bought pie crust in a 9" pie dish according to manufacturer's instructions. Place in the refrigerator while you're preparing the pie filling.
In a medium size bowl mix together dark brown sugar, light corn syrup, melted butter and salt. Add beaten eggs and combine well.
Stir in vanilla extract and bourbon followed by the dark chocolate chips and pecan halves.
Pour into the chilled pie crust making sure the chocolate chips and pecan halves are evenly distributed. Use a spoon to help arrange the pecans so that the top of the pie is covered.
Place on the center rack in a preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack.
Pie needs to cool completely before trying to slice. Serve at room temperature. Cover and store in the refrigerator.
