Spring Botanical Arrangement For The Entry Table

With family coming over last weekend, I created a spring botanical arrangement for the entry table. Before I plant these sweet flowers in the garden, I thought of sharing them with you. Plus I have one more update in the entry way for you to see.

Spring Botanical Arrangement For The Entry Table

You know me and how much I love flowers arrangements, but this time I’m using flowers from our local garden nursery. This mix of flowers and herbs are simply nestled inside a metal planter still in their plastic pots.

If you look close you’ll see verbena, lavender and one little pink phlox. we found hiding among the plants.

I’m using a bit of preserved Spanish moss to cover the plastic pots, and grapevines crisscross over the top for interest. It’s a very easy way to use garden flowers to create a temporary centerpiece.

You can make the same type of arrangement using a basket, ceramic planter or even a small crate.

Decorating For Spring After Easter

The Easter decor is put away until next year, but I still like displaying little things that remind me of spring.

Faux bird nests or I should say DIY bird nests are becoming a new obsession of mine. They are so easy to make and look so pretty to display on shelves and under cloches.

I love making nests with twigs and vines from the back yard. One of my creations is now sitting on a small ironstone plate with some shells and little garden pots.

Entry Table Wall Decor Update

The entry table decor changes more than any other spot in our home, and now I’m changing what’s over the table too. An old wood framed mirror and my door basket are replacing the big map of Europe.

The mirror is a repurposing and upcycling project of my mom’s from the early 1970s. She converted a framed glass table top tray into a wall mirror, and that’s why there’s a handle at the top.

I love the look of wreaths and swags hanging over mirrors, so why not try a wall basket. It’s kind of fun and different, don’t you think?

For now I’m using some of the same faux greenery from last years summer door display. To see the post click on Summer Front Door Basket.

One thing that’s not changing is my love of navy and white, so I’m keeping the ironstone plates. I’m also keeping the blue and white lamp on the entry table, because I think it goes better in here than in the living room.
