APPLE PECAN BREAD PUDDING RECIPE
Apple Pecan Bread Pudding is a crowd pleaser with a sweet buttery cinnamon toast flavor, balanced with fresh tart apples and pecans.
Granny Smith apples pleeled and cut into 1/2 inch slices
brown sugar firmly packed
unsalted butter melted
Bread cubes about 1 inch square
Preheat oven to 350°F
Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl.
In a large bowl toss about half the sliced apples with about a third of the brown sugar mixture. Repeat with the remainder of the apples along with the pecan pieces.
In a separate bowl toss bread cubes with melted butter, then add the remaining brown sugar mixture and toss to coat.
Combine bread cubes and apples. Spoon into a lightly greased 11″x7″ baking dish. Pour apple cider over the top of apple and bread mixture.
Bake for about 50 to 55 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
