Sometimes even the most organized spaces can have a catastrophic system failure. I’m not sure what or who is to blame for the pantry calamity, but I do know that the husband was home on holiday for a couple of weeks. (I’ll just let that linger in your thoughts.) ... continue reading...
Watercolor Labels For Jars
Three of my favorite activities are organizing, painting and drinking tea, but not necessarily in that order. Today's project combines all three. When I'm home I drink copious amounts of tea and have expanded my tea selections beyond the usual Earl Grey and Green tea. I needed a better storage solution for tea bags in the pantry so that I could keep the tea fresh and stay organized. Holiday Spiced Rum Cake Recipe
Growing up, the best place to hang out during the Christmas season was in the kitchen. I hope you will love my Holiday Spiced Rum Cake as much as I do. Things tend to get a wee bit chaotic when working full-time and trying to blog. I did manage to steal a few hours to watch Fixer Upper, paint the foyer and get a jump-start on Christmas decorating. ... continue reading...

My decor style is clean and classic, so making subtle seasonal changes is simple. All I have to do is switch out pillows, throws, art work and a few of my favorite accessories and then I’m sliding right into the winter mode. As a way to slow down and enjoy my indoor surroundings, I added an unexpected element in the living room. A bare branch with sparkly glass ... continue reading...
