Focus on the Parrot

Sometimes, my brilliant beyond brilliant ideas don’t quite turn out as I had pictured in my vivid imagination.  I wasn’t even going to post this project, but then I thought maybe I could still inspire someone to “build a better mouse trap,” so to speak.

My plan was to create a hiding place that looked like books for some very unattractive electronics. I thought I could use cardboard boxes that look like books instead of tearing apart real books to use the covers. The electronics generate some heat so leaving the top and back open was necessary.  I performed some minor surgery and glued the parts together blah, blah, blah…. That’s when I realized that this just wasn’t going to have the look I was going for.

I had a flashback of the third grade, when my teacher, Mrs. Williams, came by my desk to look at my project and said, “You have the right idea, keep working on it”.   I was doomed!  Mrs. Williams didn’t realize I was finished.

You can laugh, it’s alright!  I can take it!

Just for practice, I took photos (which look better than I ever imagined) and I’m currently using the “whatever you want to call it” until I come up with a better solution.
